  Menghong Lee, Professor, doctoral tutor, executive director of Guangdong Provincial Institute of Gastroenterology, winner of Thousand Talents Program in Organization Department of CPC Central Committee, and leader of Hundred Talents Program of Sun Yat-sen University. His research interests include the mechanism of development and progression of colorectal cancer and molecular markers. From 1997 to 2015, he served as lifetime professor at MD Anderson Cancer Center in the United States. His research papers have been published in international authoritative journals such as Cancer Cell, JCI, JNCI, Nature Communications and PNAS (as author of correspondence). The papers have been cited more than 9500 times. The total amount of funding for NIH R01, SUSAN G. KOMEN and DOD projects in the United States has reached 10 million U.S. dollars. He is reviewer of 27 international top-level journals such as Nature Review of Cancer, JCI, JNCI and PNAS. Since returning home, he has published a number of high-level papers such as Cancer Cell and presided over major projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China.
