2017 Guanghzou Digestive Disease Week Research Forum

   November 10, 2017, Guangzhou Digestive Disease Week Research Forum was held successfully. Nearly 200 domestic and foreign researchers from Tsinghua University, Sun Yat-sen University and Harvard University attended it.

   This forum was jointly sponsored by Sixth Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University and Guangdong Institute of Gastroenterology. It tended to gather experts and young scholars in the field of gastrointestinal diseases both at home and abroad through special reports, academic discussions and talent talks to discuss the frontiers and hot issues of scientific research on gastrointestinal diseases.

   Professor Menghong  Lee as executive director, Professor Huanliang Liu as deputy executor and Professor Ping Yuan of Guangdong Institute of Gastroenterology co-chaired this forum.


   President Ping Lan made a speech. He talked about the hospital's future planning and support in scientific research and development. He sincerely hoped that more experts and young scholars from home and abroad could work with Sixth Hospital to contribute the scientific research and development. In this forum, Human Resources Management Office Deputy Commissioner Shiyong Zheng  on behalf of Sun Yat-sen of University spoke about the profile of Sun Yat-sen University, measures for introduction of personnel and relevant benefits. 


  In the academic report session, the wonderful academic reports were made by the following experts:  Yeguang Chen as winner of National Outstanding Youth Fund, specially invited professor in Cheung Kong Scholars Program, professor of Tsinghua University; Ruopan Huang as a talent in National Thousand Entrepreneurs Program and professor of Emory University in the United States; Professor Li Menghong introduced by Thousand Talents Program, and other young scholars from World-renowned research institutes such as MD Anderson Cancer Center and Harvard Medical School. They also conducted lively discussions and exchanges with the researchers at the scene.


  This forum promoted the exchange and cooperation in the field of gastrointestinal diseases research both at home and abroad and will play a positive role in promoting and guiding innovation in this field in our country.
